As the driver of a truck, why should you keep as large a lateral distance as possible when driving past a vehicle that has broken down on the hard shoulder ?
Because the people involved in the repair of the vehicles could not pay enough attention to the rest of the road traffic
Because when repairing a punctured tire on the left side of the vehicle, the space required to work could exceed the width of the breakdown lane
So that single-lane vehicles can overtake me on the right when congestion occurs
For safety reasons, I have to close the overtaking lane for the following , faster vehicles
