How do you behave when driving downhill with overheated wheel brakes on the trailer ?
When the end of the downhill section is almost reached, I brake heavily with the service brake, shift into a smaller gear and drive on
If the end of the downhill section cannot be seen: brake to a standstill with the service brake, stop, secure with wedges and allow the trailer brake to cool down
I switch from the service brake to the third brake and drive on so that the vehicle train remains stretched
If there is an eddy current brake on the motor vehicle , I can continue driving
