You are waiting to turn right from a side road. Obviously to the left but a truck is coming from the right. Why should you wait, even if you have enough time to turn ?
The load on the truck may be unstable
Maybe the truck is slowing down
The truck can suddenly speed up
Anything that goes past the truck will be hidden from view
